William E Yarbrough of Texas became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Field Artillery, FA: FIELD ARTILLERY, William was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Burma 5 (Moulmein - Rangoon Jail) Burma 16-97. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows William was in Asiatic Theatre. Source. US National Archives.
