Army - June 14, 1775 (Continental Army established by the Continental Congress)
Navy - October 13, 1775 (Continental Navy authorized by Congress)
Marine Corps - November 10, 1775 (Continental Marines established)
Coast Guard - August 4, 1790 (originally the Revenue Cutter Service, later merged with other services to form the modern Coast Guard in 1915)
Air Force - September 18, 1947 (established as an independent service, having previously been part of the Army as the Army Air Forces)
Space Force - December 20, 2019 (newest branch, established under the Department of the Air Force)
