Joseph V Williams JR of North Carolina became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, No Branch Assignment, NO: NO BRANCH ASSIGNMENT, Joseph was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 4 Gross-Tychow (formerly Heydekrug) Pomerania, Prussia (moved to Wobbelin Bei Ludwigslust) (To Usedom Bei Savenmunde) 54-16. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Joseph was in European Theatre. Source. US National Archives.
