Prisoner of War Ribbon

Allan P Whipple of Oregon became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, CE: CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Allan was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag 2B Hammerstein (99 work camps in vicinity of Koslin - Stolp) West Prussia 53-17. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Allan was in 19 Group/Regiment/Commands/System Engineer (Combat, Square Divisions and Combat Unit North African Theatre: Tunisia. Source. US National Archives.
