Zelbert E Short of Kentucky became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, CE: CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Zelbert was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 3 Sagan-Silesia Bavaria (Moved to Nuremberg-Langwasser) 49-11. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Zelbert was in 16 Battalion/Training Battalion Combat/Special Troops Armored (Divisional) North African Theatre: Tunisia. Source. US National Archives.
