Serving in the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, CE: CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Joseph was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Fukuoka POW Camp 1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-130.
