Serving in the U.S. Army, Ordnance Department, ORD: ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT, Winifred was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Fukuoka POW Camp 1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-130. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Winifred was in Southwest Pacific Theatre: Philippine Islands. Source.
