Virgil Jeffries

Prisoner of War Ribbon

Virgil H Jeffries of Minnesota became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Air Corps, AC: AIR CORPS, Virgil was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 1 Stalag Luft 1 Barth-Vogelsang Prussia 54-12. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Virgil was in 306 Group/Regiment/Commands/System Heavy Bomber (B17, B24) European Theatre: Germany. Source. US National Archives.
