Virgil Jarvis of Maryland became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, CE: CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Virgil was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at CC 59 Ascoli Picenzo Italy 43-13. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Virgil was in 16 Battalion/Training Battalion Combat/Special Troops Armored (Divisional) North African Theatre: Tunisia. Source. US National Archives.
