Serving in the U.S. Army, Coast Artillery Corps, CAC: COAST ARTILLERY CORPS or AMP: ARMY MINE PLANT, Clarence was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Fukuoka POW Camp 1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-130.
