Prisoner of War Ribbon

Joseph Centek of Michigan became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, CE: CORPS OF ENGINEERS, Joseph was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Fukuoka POW Camp 1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-130. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Joseph was in 809 Company/MP Company/Area Aviation(Including Aviation Separate)/Airborne Southwest Pacific Theatre: Philippine Islands. Source. US National Archives.
