Prisoner of War Ribbon

Wade A Carter of North Carolina became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Ordnance Department, ORD: ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT, Wade was captured by JAPAN and was imprisoned at Fukuoka POW Camp 1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-130. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Wade was in 7260 Foreign Departments Organizations and Activities Not Otherwise Provide Southwest Pacific Theatre: Philippine Islands. Source. US National Archives.
