Serving in the U.S. Army, Medical Department, MD: MEDICAL DEPARTMENT or ANC: ARMY NURSE CORPS, Melvin was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag 12A to 9B Limburg An Der Lahn Hessen-Nassau, Prussia 50-08. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated.
