Markrel L Byrd of Texas became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Air Corps, AC: AIR CORPS, Markrel was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Oflag 9A/H Spangenberg-Kassel Hessen-Nassau, Prussia 51-09.
