Henry Abelmann

Henry W Abelmann JR of Illinois became a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Serving in the U.S. Army, Air Corps, AC: AIR CORPS, Henry was captured by GERMANY and was imprisoned at Stalag Luft 4 Stalag Luft 4 Gross-Tychow (formerly Heydekrug) Pomerania, Prussia (moved to Wobbelin Bei Ludwigslust) (To Usedom Bei Savenmunde) 54-16. Final information at the end of the conflict was Returned to Military Control, Liberated or Repatriated. Data shows Henry was in 447 Group/Regiment/Commands/System Heavy Bomber (B17, B24) European Theatre: France. Source. US National Archives.
