Next Steps: First Lieutenant Chamberlain was the pilot of an AD-3 Skyraider dive bomber with Marine Attack Squadron 121, Marine Air Group 12, 1st Marine Air Wing. On March 29, 1953, while striking a target in enemy territory, he was not able to pull out a dive. He was declared missing and was presumed dead on March 29, 1954. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. ** First Lieutenant Chamberlain was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
