US Military History

Military history is defined as a humanities discipline providing history storytelling of armed conflict. The Sons of Liberty Museum has focused on the history beginning with World War I and continuing to the present day.   Exhibits tell the story of combat units and the individual from the front line infantryman, marine and  pilot to the coxswain, sonar operator, mechanic, armorer, engineer, quartermaster and commander.   The story of the individual is at the heart of our mission, providing a tribute to them for their family and descendants.

Within the scope and capacities of this website; we want to bring you some history on various combat units in the context of their conflict. The internet offers us a great opportunity to have this large digital presence.   We are actively searching for and requesting documents, pictures and other materials that will enable us to portray a robust telling of history. Please contact us if you have any material that can add to this project and fill in the blanks that we have setup in subsequent pages.

We are interested in working with historians, veterans associations and other individuals and organizations to tell this history expanding and enhancing our history storytelling.
